Big Baby Davis Talked About Clouds in a Recent Radio Interview
NBA June 25th. 2011, 12:00pm
Whenever crazy Ron Artest retires, I’m fairly certain that Glen “Big Baby” Davis will gladly accept the torch as the craziest player in the NBA. Here he is talking about … clouds during a radio interview.
“I hired a sports psychologist to help you tap into the zone … as far as you miss a shot, you don’t worry about that. You go to the other end and use that energy to do something else on defense. … Let it pass like a cloud. Clouds pass by you all the time and you don’t worry about it, you’ve just got to keep going.
I would have been even more impressed if he had dropped a cirrus or cumulus reference.
I wish the radio hosts had asked him about the Dougie instead of who he thinks the best player in the league is (answer: “I might just say Amar’e Stoudemire because he’s just so hard to guard.”). Apparently Big Baby is not a fan of Kobe, and part of that has to do with LA’s best player occasionally speaking Spanish on the floor (does he mean Italian?): “You stress him out and he might speak some Spanish to you and you’re like, ‘What are you talking about?’” [Sports Radio Interviews]

Kobe speaks both languages, and will talk shit about players in either language either if they’re talking trash or he wants to talk trash. I guess its his way of getting into people’s head, which, in this case, apparently works.

Delonte West and Joakim Noah laugh crazily at this.

I think I hear DeShawn Stevenson snickering in the background.

Can I express my joy for my NHL team ridding itself of a $7.1M cap hit for the next five season here? Because cap space is good and the Hawks now have $14,024,039 of it and a 30 goal scorer they can lock up.
Thanks for everything, Soup Campbell. You will be missed. But the Blackhawks window to win another Stanley Cup just opened up a bit wider and now I can play with Capgeek all afternoon trying to figure out who we can add. Thanks Uncle Dale!

SC – You think it’s going to end up being a bidding war for Stamkos between the Flyers & Hawks?
June 25th, 2011 at 2:22 PM
No. Other than Richards, there are no legit 30 goal scorers to be had on the market. Stamkos is going nowhere.

That Big Baby picture has got to be the gayest athelete post I’ve ever seen. And its not even for a photoshoot!
Also, another hilarious Big Baby moment from the 2010 Finals.

Remember when he pushed that kid out of the way after he hit a game winner?

Also, TBL – that is quite some misleading in the original post. Davis said Kobe is actually one of his favourite players.
