The Marlins and Reds Did Not Pack The Stadium Today
Baseball August 24th. 2011, 5:00pmThe Florida Marlins and Cincinnati Reds are playing a double-header today. As you can see by the photos taken by @ByTimReynolds, @johnfayman, and @davidalen it’s not much of a crowd there to root on the home team and eat cracker jacks and peanuts. This shouldn’t be that much of a surprise since the Marlins decided to close the upper deck about a month and a half ago, but it’s still pretty impressive to see a reported 347 people watching a Major League Baseball game.

A coached a high school team this summer. I’m confident we drew a pretty good percentage of that crowd for a couple games.

Such devoted fans, and of course they’re getting a brand new stadium out of it too. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they fall short of a sell out for the opening game of the new stadium too.

Not mentioned: Those people are all there for the gang bang that starts roughly 30 minutes after the last out.

holy shit. I remember the last year of the Expo’s seeing their stadium like this. I always thought it would be fun to go to a game like this and just bag on some players all game and collect foul balls.

If they’re homeless and they do it in the back of a Prius, it’s called a “Soup Kitchen”.
/movie reference that more people will get than were present at that game.

According to weather.com it is 89 and feels like 98 right now in Miami. Also, this is not the regularly scheduled game time. They switched tomorrow’s game to today in advance of Irene.
But they do have cheerleaders. My oh my do they have cheerleaders!!!!

Players are still lucky they can afford to pay their salaries though…

Which is almost more than can be said for the Dodgers.

I’d probably bang Rachel Phelps if given the chance. In 1991, of course. Not now. MFK for Major League? Rachel Phelps, Suzanne Dorn and Lynn Wells. Have at it.

That’s an intriguing MFK SC. This requires Google research.

I’d probably go with that Spencer. So long as Dorn’s wife isn’t wearing her hair like she was in the bar scene again. She looked like a man, baby.
August 24th, 2011 at 5:39 PM
Can’t argue with that one bit, spot on

F and K switch around if Suzanne only looked like she did in the bar, and not as a housewife.

My ‘kill’ should have been Suzanne Dorn, obviously. I was typing with only one hand.
