The marketing tagline for McDonald’s is “I’m loving’ it.”

LeBron James is feeling the love in a new commercial for the fast-feeder.

But will fans and consumers feel the love that James seems to want them to feel for him?

Beginning Sept. 26, James will be featured in a McDonald’s TV commercial for the chain’s “Monopoly” game. During the 30-second spot, a reference is made to James’ rants in July 2010, just after “The Decision” to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and sign with the Miami Heat.

In the early glow of joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in South Florida, James offered this statement regarding NBA championships: “We will win not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven, but more.”

In the McDonald’s Monopoly commercial, odds are calculated on how often something can happen. Four women at the same table are all named Stacey. “Odds of that happening: one in six million,” says a voiceover. “Odds of Stacey winning [a Monopoly] prize: one in four.”

The camera then pans to James, who is sitting nearby with a McDonald’s meal. “Odds of LeBron James winning seven NBA championships? One in . . . ”

At which point, James interrupts. “Aw, come on man,” he says with a big smile.

But odds of winning a Monopoly prize. “One in four.” At which point James finds that his Monopoly game piece has earned him free fries.

James, who previously appeared in a TV commercial for McDonald’s alongside Dwight Howard, is also in a new PSA for the Boys & Girls Club that addresses childhood obesity, youth violence and the drop out rate among high school students.

Golfer Michelle Wie also has a McDonald’s commercial breaking next week in which the odds of her hitting her next hole in one today are one in 50,000, but her odds of winning in Monopoly are exactly the same as LeBron James’: one in four.
