Jim Schwartz Did Not Appreciate Jim Harbaugh’s Enthusiasm, Brawl Nearly Ensues
NFL, Video October 16th. 2011, 5:01pmOne thing we know for sure about Jim Harbaugh is that the dude gets fired up over football. His excitement following today’s win in Detroit did not go over well with Lions coach Jim Schwartz, though he’s no stranger to going apeshit either. The two coaches nearly came to blows as the teams made their way off the field. It’s just too bad nothing happened because a Schwartz-Harbaugh brawl would probably not disappoint.
For Niners fans, I’m sure they could care less about Harbaugh’s antics. This franchise is showing massive signs of life for the first time in over a decade.
Somewhere, Pete Carroll shakes his head and asks aloud, “what’s your deal, Jimbo?”

49ers defense is sick. They’re obviously out of “suck for luck” sweepstakes, but if they can get a serviceable qb in there, they would be one of the contenders in NFC next few years.
Really enjoyed that little scrap, though. Good to see players and coaches abandon the bullshit “respect the game, respect the opponent” tripe and shake things up. Sports would be so much better and interesting if people showed more animosity toward their opponents.

Football is so good. This from postgame press conference,

How dare a coach be happy and excited about winning a game.

Little love for the Schartz find?

My bad, adding that now.

Tigers Lose, Wolverines Lose, Lions lose. Tough week for the motor city.
Schwartz seems exactly like I’d envision somebody named Schwartz acting.

Little love for the Schartz find?
you’re a hero to small children. I also laughed at your seinfeld joke yesterday, although I don’t condone 10 year old sitcom references, in general.

Schwartz wouldn’t have bucked up had that been Mike Singletary, then again we wouldn’t have won if that had been the case. I been waiting a long time to feel this good about being a Niner fan.

hell of a game. sadly the story will be the tomfoolery at the end of it.

If you can’t shake hands like a man you can’t exist in the National Football League.
October 16th, 2011 at 5:51 PM
Never underestimate the power of the Schwartz!

Too early to predict a first round playoff game of #5 seed Detriot @ #4 seed NFC West Champ San Fran?
October 16th, 2011 at 5:53 PM
Totally agree. Big Bang Theory humor it is.

F’n Jacoby Jones. What a dick.

Just like this “story.”

Nearly came to blows?
Really? Way to make this non-story even more ridiculous. You’re an idiot. Schwartz ran after him, they got separated, end of story. Moving on.

Sean Payton: Torn MCL and broken leg.
October 16th, 2011 at 6:06 PM
Did you see how many times Schwartz tried to get at Harbaugh? If that’s not “nearly came to blows,” then I don’t know what is. Thanks for playing though.
October 16th, 2011 at 6:07 PM
Kareem Fucking Jackson
October 16th, 2011 at 6:09 PM
Agree, Schwartz was pulling on people to get back at Harbaugh. Could have gotten ugly.
October 16th, 2011 at 6:09 PM
Who broke his leg? ESPN or Joe Buck?
October 16th, 2011 at 6:10 PM
Harbaugh would stomp a mudhole in his ass

please follow your own advice kind sir!
October 16th, 2011 at 6:13 PM
agreed. I get a sense of false bravado from Scwartz, like “hold me back so I look tough!”
October 16th, 2011 at 6:17 PM
I don’t see anyone calling for their heads. I don’t see anyone calling for them to be suspended. I don’t see anyone crying about “the children” and what they will think about the situation.
it’s funny more than anything else. People are laughing about it on twitter. If anything, it’s YOU who seems to be the most angry about the whole thing.

Someone (Jimmy Graham I think) ran into him on the sideline, his leg got all rolled up underneath him.
October 16th, 2011 at 7:14 PM
Are 49ers fans putting up with Harbaugh? Don’t they just openly love him?
October 17th, 2011 at 12:40 AM
Glad you liked the quip but my whole life is 10 yr. old sitcom references. Speaking of which, await my references on Donavan McNabb to Izzy Mandelbaum
October 17th, 2011 at 12:42 AM
Needless to say I’m an ace on Twitter and a neophyte on commenting and quoting on comment board. See you there.

WWE contract is in the mail to Schwartz.
