Video: Daniel Paille Took A Puck To The Face Tonight
NHL, Video November 7th. 2011, 9:33pm
Boston’s Daniel Paille took a Steve Staios slapshot to the face tonight. Luckily, Paille was wearing a visor which may have saved his life. Paille skated off the ice with a towel pressed against his face. No word on his condition, but hopefully he’s alright.

Steady Steve felt horrible the minute he took that shot. Never want to see plays like that.

I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often in hockey, actually. Most of the players don’t wear visors, and a lot of them dive to block shots even.
