Tim Tebow vs. Tom Brady: AFC Playoff Preview?
By Jason McIntyre
But there’s no way the Denver defense – which has shut down offensive juggernauts like Kansas City, Miami, the Jets and Cutler-less Bears – can slow the Patriots and Tom Brady, right? Who cares if he’s 1-5 in his career vs. Denver? It’s not like John Fox or Tim Tebow had anything to do with that.
I still think the Broncos make the playoffs, and I think they’ll host a home game against either the Jets/Titans/Bengals. As long as they’re able to avoid the Steelers/Ravens, I think Tebow can get the Broncos a playoff win and then travel to New England for a 2nd round game.
Other NFL games at 4:15:
Jets at Eagles: I think the Jets get rolled here. Hope you didn’t buy back in after they beat world-beaters Buffalo, Washington and Kansas City. I can see the Eagles getting an early lead, the Jets completely collapsing and getting smoked 34-13. A loss extinguishes any playoff hopes, and we’re not even going to get into what happens if they win. We’ll cover that Monday, if it happens.
Detroit at Oakland: Calvin Johnson and Darren McFadden make this game interesting. The Lions are trying to make the playoffs. If I set the over/under on penalties at 20, which side are you on? I would guess there will be at least one ejection.
Cleveland at Arizona: I’m truly sorry if you are forced to watch this game. The only thing worth watching would be Patrick “Toast” Peterson vs. Larry Fitzgerald. I think the Cardinals win handily.
