ESPN: Bill O’Brien is the New Penn State Coach
College Football, NFL January 5th. 2012, 10:18pm
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien has agreed to be the next head coach at Penn State. O’Brien was heavily rumored to be the new coach earlier this week, but everyone at Penn State denied the rumors. Apparently, the deal will be announced on Saturday. The Pats don’t play until next weekend.

Miz, I made amends for the lack of Renee Olstead this morning two threads ago. Go help yourself.
Mike McQueary saw Bill O’Brien interview, but instead of telling ESPN he called his father to talk about it.

I really hope there are no more Zeller or Hansbrough kids that play basketball….

I like it. Has decent college experience, enough NFL to have some sway with the recruits.
First order of business is keeping Larry Johnson Sr and Ron Vanderlin. Would like to keep Bradley but he might not make it.
Second order of business is kicking Jay Paterno in the nuts and telling him to get lost.

Good move by Penn St. Patriots Offensive Coordinators always do well in their future endeavors.

Small sample size.

I actually do like the hire because he has a descent offensive mind. Something this program has been lacking since I hit puberty. Like Coop said, I really hope Larry Sr. doesn’t get the boot. Him staying will help keep the defense somewhat in tact.

He had Tom Brady.

Hey Michigan Wolverines.
You’ve been Crean’d!

Rob Bolden, Matt McGloin, Zach Mills, Anthony Morelli. Their most successful QB in 15 years is now a RB in the NFL. It can’t get any worse.

I think Vlad’s point is that O’Brien looked like had a decent offensive mind because Tom Brady was his quarterback.

It can’t get any worse.
Miami’s most successful QB since Ken Dorsey is Brock Berlin. It can always get worse.

I know it doesn’t mean much. But Noah Spence was by far the best defensive player on the field today in that Under Armor game.

Smart cash grab by this guy. He’ll make a lot of 2nd rate players happy by letting them play for a Big 10 school and allow them to get mauled by Urban and then others. If that program is .500 in 4 years it’d be a miracle.

I’m considering going to the NFLPA Bowl in L.A. in a couple of weeks. That’s got to be a horrible waste of money, right? Has anybody here ever gone to the Senior Bowl or another showcase game like that?
January 5th, 2012 at 11:25 PM
Looking at my own comment makes me want to rephrase it.
I’m gonna be in Carson every day for the foreseeable future because I work there and I really want to get a hooker. Has anybody ever used a post-season college all-stars bowl game as a pretext to getting a hooker? Thanks in advance for the tips.

Stark, I swear I thought that sentence was going to include you asking if anyone knew anything about picking up an escort in the L.A. area.
January 5th, 2012 at 11:26 PM
Ha! I knew you were going to do it!

Dammit! I’m predictable.

Plan on spending at least 300 bucks, plus tip. Have her tell you what she isnt going to do up front. Then negotiate from there. Make sure you have a built in contingency: like I you pay for a couple hours but blow your wad in 10 min, she’s staying around for rounds 2 and 3 and not just ditching you.

Hope you fail, Bill.
