Jorge Posada Has Retired From the New York Yankees, and Baseball
Baseball January 8th. 2012, 3:45pm
Jorge Posada has plans to retire from the game of baseball and will do so having worn the storied New York Yankee jersey every season since getting the call in 1996. He walks away with four rings and strong distaste for Joe Girardi. The guy is 40 years old. It was time.
All that leaves now from that special 1996 World Series team is Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera.
Jorge’s passionate, unmistakable demeanor will certainly be missed in the Bronx.
