Tom Herrion, Marshall’s Coach, is the Winner of the Best Coaching Flop in Basketball History
College Football, Video January 17th. 2012, 12:25pmTom Herrion get punched in the stomach by Central Florida’s Isaiah Sykes? Nope. Tom Herrion take a chicken wing to the chops? Unclear. Tom Herrion suffer a heart attack? Negative. So why did Tom Herrion fall to the court late in the first half, begin to crawl on all fours, and feign injury? It appears as if Sykes made some contact with Herrion on the sideline, but upon multiple viewings of this video, it didn’t appear to be significant. Surely Herrion (and Sykes?) will answer these questions this week.
After a lengthy delay, referees slapped Isaiah Sykes with a flagrant foul. Why? Who knows. Marshall went on to win, 65-64. [video via Norlander]

“Elizabeth, I’m comin’ ta join ya, honey. This is the big one.”
Had to giggle, once I realized the coach wasn’t actually “dead and stuff”.
