Drew Brees (And Son) Chase What Matters At Super Bowl XLVI

Drew Brees, MVP of Super Bowl XLIV, is back in the Big Game. Not as quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, but in a Super Bowl XLVI commercial with his son for Chase.
The 30-second spot, “Football,” supports the financial firm’s QuickPay, which enables customers who register for the service the ability to send or receive money to and from checking accounts via e-mail or mobile phone.
Brees is in dire need of the service while playing football with his young son, Baylen, in front of their home. The kid kicks a football and sends it like missile through one neighbor’s walls, smashing the window of another and ruining the backyard barbecue of yet another.
A calm Brees accesses his Chase QuickPay account via mobile phone and sends $200 and an apology to each of his neighbors. A voiceover explains, “Paying with your smart phone instead of cash. That’s a step forward. With Chase QuickPay, you can send money directly to anyone’s checking account.”
“Guess he’s a kicker,” sighs Brees of Baylen as he makes the payments.
The 30-second spot was shot in black-and-white except for color shots of the mobile phone. Tag: “Chase what matters.” (See the full spot here.)
Chase said the spot would air during Super Bowl XLVI in 50 markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Tampa.
Brees and his son have filmed other commercials together, including Pampers and Vick’s VapoRub.

Great get, Janoff. Brees’ disappointment in his prissy son is palpable.
