Former San Diego sports talk radio host Scott Kaplan was fired earlier this week following some insensitive comments he made towards The Mountain Network’s Andrea Lloyd. On January 25th Kaplan referred to Lloyd as a “beast,” an “animal,” a “monster” and a “Sasquatch of a woman.” Before he was let go, he regretted nothing. From U-T San Diego:

In an interview with NBC San Diego Monday morning before his firing, he addressed the controversy by saying, “I don’t apologize for the fact that we’re a guy show, a locker-room kind of show. There’s no apology for that. This is what we do.”

Losing your job comes with a big dose of humility. Lloyd has not returned any of Kaplan’s e-mails or phone calls.
