Jeremy Lin vs. Kobe Bryant is How You Should Spend Your Friday Night
NBA February 10th. 2012, 6:00pm
Kobe vs Jeremy Lin. Madison Square Garden. ESPN.
Who needs Amare and Carmelo Anthony?
Jeremy Lin has the country on his side, plus Steve Novak, Bill Walker and Jared Jefferies.
Las Vegas has made the line just 3.5, as the Lakers are coming off an overtime win over Boston last night, and LA is just 3-6 on the 2nd night of back-to-backs.
I know you’ve read everything there is to know about Jeremy Lin, and analyzed all his videos, but here’s one more to read.

What country? Taiwan?
February 10th, 2012 at 6:11 PM
The Knicks.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:16 PM
this makes me so sad.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:20 PM
I have been kinda outta of the loop, can somebody tell me what Lin has done to deserve all this hype? Please tell me its more than put up some good stats as a PG in a D’Antoni offense. Didn’t when learn our lesson from the 2011 Raymond Felton era?
February 10th, 2012 at 6:23 PM
Wings going for 19 in a row at home. Much more exciting and relevant than watching the Lakers wax the Knicks.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:24 PM
The guy has played well in the D’Antoni offense for 3 games. He looks promising and certainly has potential. But TBL has gone off the fucking deep end with this stuff.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:25 PM
3 good games in NYC = HOF worthy career
February 10th, 2012 at 6:27 PM
No matter how well Lin plays tonight (against Derek Fisher and Steve Blake, mind you), the quoted words are just offensive to anyone that is an NBA fan.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:30 PM
Of course he has the country on his side, it’s not like the Lakers are the most popular team.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:34 PM
I’m more interested in how many points Amir Johnson puts up against the Cavs tonight.
February 10th, 2012 at 6:36 PM
LIN THE YELLOW SOLJAH. IN THE HEART OF THE GARDEN.
STOLEN FROM CHINA. “NO” GIVES KOBE A HARD ON.

I’m intrigued with this game. Haters be damned.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:01 PM
Mark Sanchez still sucks ass.

If I ever plan my Friday night around a midseason NBA game I might slit my wrists.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lin lights up Blake and Fisher…getting into the paint however is another story.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:11 PM
NOBODY LIGHTS UP STEVE BLAKE!!!

Things I’m choosing to watch on tv over this in 45 min: Good Eats brand new episode, Brad Pitt Inside the Actor’s Studio, Timberwolves w/ Love back vs. Mavericks.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:20 PM
I got a bar crawl to do tomorrow at noon. So staying in to watch some ball is the safe move.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:23 PM
Don’t tell me what to do you slubberdegullion cur.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:26 PM
I might stay in tonight as well. Did that last Friday, drank a bunch of Celebration Ales and watched that Scorcese George Harrison documentary, was thrilled I did that. Depends if my friends are being fucking lame tonight.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:28 PM
Kobe’s wife looks pretty bad in that picture.
/ minus her tits
He must be quite happy to get all the tail he wants finally.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:30 PM
I thought they’re getting divorced because he was getting all the tail he wants.
February 10th, 2012 at 7:31 PM
But only now is it guilt free!
February 10th, 2012 at 7:32 PM
It would be funny if Kobe just walked up to him and gutted him…and not completely unexpected…
February 10th, 2012 at 7:34 PM
What if Jeremy Lin was white?
February 10th, 2012 at 7:41 PM
What if Jeremy Lin was white?
Impossible. Jimmer sucks.

Same reactions. Kind of like how Dragic’s 23 point quarter was perceived.

Holy Fuck, this site without ad blocker is awful. Pop up ads everywhere.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:06 PM
Actually kinda interested in this game to be honest.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:12 PM
Kind of interested? I’m stoked.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:13 PM
Garden would have exploded if that first shot fell. Wow, Artest just takes down Lin early.
Welcome to NY, son.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:13 PM
Jeremy Lin at least leads the league in one thing: band-aids.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:16 PM
Lin for 33333333333333333333
February 10th, 2012 at 8:19 PM
Pretty no-look pass from Lin to Chandler for the dunk. 7 points, 2 assists only 5 minutes in. not bad.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:21 PM
So does this mean all the Rubio love is gone? I’m okay with that.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:21 PM
Lin should have passed that. Ball hog
/contrarian’d
February 10th, 2012 at 8:22 PM
Not at all, Chief. Still love me some Rubio. But Lin is a much better and more fun story.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:25 PM
Well, it’s a good thing you haven’t been watching the start to this Mavs/Wolves game then.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:28 PM
I’m surprised Lin doesn’t wreck every time he drives…to the whole
February 10th, 2012 at 8:28 PM
or the hole fuck me
February 10th, 2012 at 8:29 PM
Absolutely none of this is true.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:29 PM
I like Lin a lot. He seems like a good guy and when he plays he certainly seems to have really strong basketball intelligence. He’s also not going to shoot 60% all season, and the media is losing their mind over a 3 game sample size.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:34 PM
Matt Barnes is just bad.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:35 PM
The Lakers have just figured out Lin. One hand bandit
February 10th, 2012 at 8:36 PM
Smart move by D’Antoni putting in Bibby. Makes Lin look even better
February 10th, 2012 at 8:39 PM
Chief – if people “hate” me for jokes made about Jeremy Lin’s No. 17 jersey … i think those people have a problem.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:41 PM
Linn is JJ Barea 2.0.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:42 PM
These 5 guys are on the floor for the Knicks:
Bibby
Shumpert
Novak
Walker
Jefferies
Really? That’s an NBA unit?
February 10th, 2012 at 8:43 PM
Well they traded any depth they had for Carmelo.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:48 PM
I really want to watch this team when Carmelo comes back. Should be quite the sociological experiment.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:56 PM
Just told my wife the Jeremy Lin/Asians can drive joke.
She’s not taking to Linsanity like she did Tebow’s run.
February 10th, 2012 at 8:58 PM
I saw one earlier that said “Lin is just another flash in the wok.”
February 10th, 2012 at 8:58 PM
Just told my wife the Jeremy Lin/Asians can drive joke.

February 10th, 2012 at 9:07 PM
Holy shit are the Bobcats bad. It’s going to be hard for them to win 10 games.

February 10th, 2012 at 9:24 PM
posted a Lin video.
February 10th, 2012 at 9:24 PM
Would much rather sip scotch, read this analysis of 19th century demographics of Irish soldiers and watch Raiders of the Lost Ark for the 1000th time than spend five minutes of this game.
February 10th, 2012 at 9:51 PM
Holy shit does ESPN love lin…every time I turn to ESPN he is on the screen
February 10th, 2012 at 10:14 PM
The Knicks lineup right now is hilarious.
February 10th, 2012 at 10:32 PM
Lin and Chandler are all the Knicks have right now. The other guys are just throwing the ball away.
February 10th, 2012 at 10:38 PM
Linja…best nickname or best nickname ever?
February 10th, 2012 at 10:41 PM
Can anyone besides Lin make a free throw?
February 10th, 2012 at 10:46 PM
Good game. All Lin had for help was Chandler and Shumpert and Jefferies. Three more players than Kobe did tonight. Jeremy was straight BalLin tonight
February 10th, 2012 at 11:02 PM
Think Kobe is on top of the Lin “situation” now?
February 10th, 2012 at 11:05 PM
i wish i knew why jeremy lin is talked about so much on here..he related to the owner?
