Video: Luis Suarez Refused to Shake Patrice Evra’s Hand Before Liverpool-Manchester United Match
Soccer, Video February 11th. 2012, 11:15amLuis Suarez and Patrice Evra met for the first time since Suarez’ eight-match ban for racially abusing Evra. It’s clear neither has put the incident behind them. Suarez refused to shake Evra’s hand before kickoff. Evra’s aggressive celebrations after Man United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool nearly caused a post-match kerfuffle.
Sir Alex Ferguson had some harsh words for the Uruguayan.
“I could not believe it, I just could not believe it. He’s a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club, that certain player should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again.
“The history that club’s got and he does that and in a situation like today could have caused a riot. I was really disappointed in that guy, it was terrible what he did.”
This is the same Sir Alex Ferguson who welcomed Eric Cantona back. We’ll predict Suarez leaves Liverpool this summer. That’s probably the best for every party involved.

I’d go along with him leaving in the summer. There is only so much that a club like Liverpool can put up with before a player becomes too much of a problem.

The same Fergie who MADE CANTONA CAPTAIN.
And kept Keane captain after he tried to end Alf-Inge Haaland’s career.
And gave Rooney a new five year mega deal after he fucked a prostitue when his wife was pregnant.
And gave Giggs a new contract after he fucked a reality TV star behind his wife’s back.
And supporter Peter Schmeichel blindly through a racist abuse charge.
And who fielded an alleged rapist today.
And who thinks Suarez doing that is more likely to cause a riot than the supporters behind him mocking the Liverpool supporters over Heysel and Hillsborough like they did today.
Fuck him.

Ah. The word “rac…ist” triggers moderation it seems. Good work.
February 11th, 2012 at 11:21 AM
I’d admonish Suarez a little more if it wasn’t for the fact that a.) Evra is equally guilty in being racist and b.) wasn’t such a complete dickhead. Evra is such a bitch I can’t stand it.

The only way I see this happening is if Barcelona cannot lock up Neymar this summer. Madrid are going to get RVP (admit it, you know it’s going to happen) so they’re out of the running. Suarez won’t want to play in Russia. Maybe one of the Milans?

Also, just gonna throw this out there, who does it look like is the one offering the hand and who looks like the one putting their hand down here?

Suarez just tweeted
HE’S CRYPTIC!
Everton supporters singing “you’re getting sacked in the morning” at AVB. Delicious.
February 11th, 2012 at 11:56 AM
and he’s the same Alex ferguson that will sing Suarez

That will never happen in a million years.
Newcastle are far and away the fourth best team in England right now. If they can get a result of any kind today, they are in the driver’s seat.
February 11th, 2012 at 12:36 PM
Well, we are talking about guy once suspended for going Tyson-Holyfield on a player. Not shaking hands seems rather normal in comparison.
Wow, Spurs off to a flyer.
February 11th, 2012 at 12:38 PM
I stand by this.
1) City
HUGE GAP
2) Spurs
Big gap
3) United
MASSIVE GAP
4) Newcastle
Remember when England were the most dominant and feared league? Yikes.

Ha

You are out of your tree. Spurs are playing above their heads this year
They’ll cOme back to earth. And if arry leaves for England they will be mid table
February 11th, 2012 at 2:14 PM
You really trust Arsenal to be consistent down the stretch?
Chelsea have shown nothing
Newcastle have been playing well until today without their shutdown player.
Plus Pardew is doing a shitload better of a job getting performances than either of the overpaid knobs in London.
February 11th, 2012 at 2:16 PM
Plus they don’t have to worry about their old (Chelsea) or hilariously thin (Arsenal) side being stretched for European duty.
February 11th, 2012 at 2:23 PM
Oh and apparently Per cannot walk at the moment? While he’s not exactly good in the traditional sense, Arsenal don’t exactly have a wealth of defenders.
They are certainly not playing above their heads. They have an incredible spine now with Parker and King/Dawson. If King and Dawson can stay healthy (I KNOW, I KNOW) they’re arguably the best defensive pairing in the league.
If/when Harry leaves after this season, and with the question of whether they can afford to keep Adebayor and if Bale/Modric will use Harry leaving as a reason to force through transfers, they will be in trouble. But for now, they are quit legitimate.

*quite
February 11th, 2012 at 2:27 PM
Yes, for now. As I said…playing above their heads. Chelsea will be back for certain.
Why do Americans have such a soft spot for Spurs? It’s very strange
Anywho…check back with me next Christmas and you’ll see i am right about this.
Ho Ho Ho

Sums up the club. Perhaps the funniest day ever in the EPL

Based on what, exactly?
They are rapidly aging. Cole is now hurt. Luiz is terrible. Terry is almost past it. Essien is a shadow of himself sadly due to the knee injuries. Cech is going downhill fast. Meireles is a laughable replacement for not being able to get Modric. Lampard, still a fatty boomalatty. Torres? Hilarious. Drogba is still Drogba but AVB seems intent on forcing him out of the club.
Only bright spots are Mata and Sturridge, and the latter could end up leaving.
February 11th, 2012 at 2:33 PM
And I don’t have a soft spot for Spurs, I loathe Spurs. They are just undoubtedly really really good right now.
Yeah? And what sums up Chelsea? Their fans leaving before a 3-3 game with United is over?
February 11th, 2012 at 2:39 PM
Chelsea will back based on one thing only. Money.
What sums up Chelsea? failure
February 11th, 2012 at 2:41 PM
I just don’t get why people aren’t giving Spurs the credit they/Harry deserve for how they approached this season.
They needed a less error prone keeper? They upgrade to Friedel and his douche accent.
They needed strikers more consistent than Crouch, Pavs, and Lololololol Robbie Keane? They loan in Ade and then Saha.
Most importantly, they needed a stopper in midfield so they brought in Parker.
More than any of the other teams chasing City, they addressed their needs the most and did it in one hell of a frugal fashion. That’s respectable. Every one of their senior team moves was a success. That is fucking rare.
It makes me sick to type this comment though.

Missing the Champions League could be really really bad for them with all the losses they are taking, and will end up taking when Roman fires AVB’s clueless ass.
