Ballin’: Yes, There’s Already a Video Featuring Jeremy Lin’s Top 10 Plays (Mostly Layups!)
NBA, Video February 16th. 2012, 10:58amNew York 100, Sacramento 85: Blowout city, baby. That’s seven wins in a row for the Knicks (15-15), although nobody’s reading anything into this victory – NY led almost the entire way – because Sacramento plays no defense. Lin’s line: 10 points, 13 assists, six turnovers and five rebounds. Landry Fields scored 15 points and collected 10 boards. Jimmer, the only King you care about, was 2-of-5 in 24 minutes. And yes, there’s already a video of Jeremy Lin’s Top 10 plays.
LA Clippers 102, Washington 84: A night after shooting 60 percent in Portland, reality hit the Wizards, who shot 39 percent and had their 2-game winning streak snapped. Blake Griffin scored 23 points and took 15 rebounds and the Clippers pulled away in the 4th. He had eight offensive boards; the Wizards had 10.
Fact: DeAndre Jordan is tall and I occasionally throw alley-oops to him in my dreams.
Oh, and a day late … here’s even shot Nick Young took against the Blazers when he scored a season-high 35 points.
Detroit 98, Boston 88: Um, in Boston? Wow. The Pistons dominated the 4th quarter and the Celtics fell to 15-13, just one game ahead of the surging Knicks in the Atlantic. Rajon Rondo scored 35 points but only had six assists. He shot 15-of-27 the rest of the starting lineup (KG sat out – hip) was a disappointing 12-of-30.
Orlando 103, Philadelphia 87: The Magic had another one of those ridiculous shooting performances from beyond the arc – 15-of-25 – and they aren’t going to lose any of those. Ryan Anderson sank 7-of-10 and scored a game-high 27 points. Knicks fans have to love this loss – New York is just five back of the 76ers in the Atlantic.
San Antonio 113, Toronto 106: Tony Parker topped 30 points for the third time in six games, finishing with 34 points and 14 assists and the Spurs won their 9th in a row to improve to 21-9. Yes, there’s a team actually hotter than the Knicks, but they don’t have Jeremy Lin and are not located in the Northeast.
Minnesota 102, Charlotte 90: Nobody throws an alley-oop pass like Ricky Rubio. This is his 20th alley-oop of the season (2nd in the NBA). Rubio had seven assists in 25 minutes. Kevin Love: 30 points, 18 rebounds. Charlotte has lost 16 games in a row. But good news! Point guard DJ Augustin returned for the first time since Jan. 22 and scored nine points off the bench. Perhaps the losing skid ends Friday in Toronto.
Memphis 105, New Jersey 100: Ignore these hideous Grizzlies’ jerseys and focus on this Conley-to-Gay combo.

Come on Boston, let’s make the magic happen

Good to know that you’re at least self-aware.

That Rubio alley-oop pass was sweet. It looked effortless.
Chris Paul to Blake Griffin was really cool, too.

Its really just a question of what Boston thinks of the free agent class this and their chances of landing some valuable pieces that way.

Wonder if this was before or after you tried to throw an alley-oop to yourself off the backboard.

Those Grizzlies jerseys are hot fire.
Rubio is like a player on NBA Street. My guy’s nickname was “poster” because he posterized bitches.

JSmoove led the Hawks in pts 30, reb 17, assists 7, stl 4 and blks 3 last night. Why can’t he play like that every night?

Just announced:: 2012 Dunk Contest field: Chase Budinger, Iman Shumpert, Paul George & Derrick Williams. If that doesn’t get you excited for All-Star weekend, I don’t know what will.
February 16th, 2012 at 11:34 AM
That’s just embarrassing. This should go the way of the Pro Bowl.
They should start playing HORSE instead of the dunk competition. You’d see some ridiculous shots and would be entertaining as hell, especially if they are miked up to listen to the smack being thrown around.

The Rockets with a big win over Bible Thumpin’ Durant and they get no mention?
It’s not just David Stern who hates the Rockets.

Half man half am-asian!

Chase Budinger, Iman Shumpert, Paul George & Derrick Williams.
If you could pick 4 who would it be? LBJ, Blake –
February 16th, 2012 at 11:44 AM
Fuck Blake he was terrible last year. He’s an in-game dunker, I think.
I think I’d go LBJ, Josh Smith, Westbrook and DRose (?).

I kinda liked D12′s work in the years he did it

Mark Jackson’s coaching ineptitude is truly amazing. His team was on a runout off a rebound with 7 sec left. He calls timeout before they cross halfcourt – and as a result they have to inbound back in their own back court and don’t get a shot off.
February 16th, 2012 at 11:46 AM
Those two + Josh Smith and maybe Russell Westbrook?
February 16th, 2012 at 11:53 AM
He’s looking like a joke already. Noticed that TBL didn’t include them in Ballin’ today after a loss even though he’d been pimping them up the past couple of games as they would “return to .500.” Kind of copout.

He’s just a face for that organization. Same as Bird was for the Pacers. I watched the end of that game last night and during the final timeout it was the assistant coach drawing up the play as he stood and watched. I was a ballboy during the 90′s when Bird was the coach and worked some of the Pacers practices. Carlisle ran every single practice as Bird stood and said nothing

Ha! Guess its easier to commentate than actually coach. He also allowed Dwight to take about 25 free throws.

There had to be guys like Brian Shaw for example, that had to be so pissed that he was able to just get a head coaching job without having to pay his dues like all the rest

Mama there goes that man!

I think you mean those Memphis Tams jerseys are hot fire. I agree.
