Injuries have robbed one-time NBA star Tracy McGrady of his career – he’s only 32, but since 2008, he’s lost the ability to be the scoring machine he once was – but he enjoyed a solid start to the season with the Hawks as a key reserve off the bench. But Atlanta’s lost six of nine, and McGrady’s minutes have diminished. After getting just four minutes of action in a loss in Portland Saturday, McGrady sounded off.

“I’m tired of this [bleep],” McGrady said. “You can put that in the paper, I don’t give a [bleep]. If you don’t feel I can help, come tell me that. He ain’t told me nothing. I just want to help these guys win, man, which I know I can. But, damn, four minutes?”

For real, Larry Drew. McGrady’s a shell of what he once was – remember when he led the league in scoring in 2003 and 2004 in Orlando? – but in this strike-shortened season with teams playing four games a week, why not get McGrady more run and give Joe Johnson a rest so he’s fresh in the postesason?
