Southern Miss Students Kicked Out of Band, Lose Scholarships For "Where's Your Green Card" Chant

Southern Miss yanks scholarships from students who chanted “where’s your green card” at Puerto Rican player, kicked out of the band as well
Seems a bit harsh, no? Rodriguez had forgiven the Southern Miss students over the weekend. From USA Today:
Rodriguez said he accepted the apology because “there’s ignorant people and I know that’s not how they want to represent their university.”
Rodriguez added a civics lesson, saying he doesn’t pay attention to that “nonsense, especially because Puerto Rico is a commonwealth, so we don’t need no type of papers.”
Meanwhile, there must be some unhappy Southern parents right now. It will be interesting to see if this is the end of this story.
