Alex Rodriguez Advisor Anthony Bosch Being Investigated by Feds and MLB for Links to PED's
By Jason Lisk
An associate of Alex Rodriguez, Anthony Bosch, is being investigated by Federal authorities and MLB baseball for ties to performance-enhancing drugs, according to the New York Daily News. Rodriguez has been involved with Bosch regarding nutrition, dietary supplements, and training in recent years. In 2009, he cut ties to Anthony Galea, a Canadian doctor with ties to supplying performance-enhancing drugs to player.
That same year, Bosch’s father, Pedro Publio Bosch, first came under investigation by MLB, as the doctor suspected of providing the prescription to Manny Ramirez that led to his suspension. Anthony Bosch was also suspected of being involved. The NY Daily News source said “Rodriguez and Bosch consulted with at least one other expert about blood test results.” The implication there being the possibility of masking agents and staying ahead of the testing curve.
With the comments yesterday by Brian Cashman that Alex Rodriguez may not be back at all next season, you have to wonder whether the Yankees will want him back if more comes out on this story.
