Bob Costas recently purchased a nice little piece of beach real estate in Newport Beach, California, according to realtor.com. The home sits on a piece of coastal property in Crystal Cove, a neighborhood where John Lackey also has a home, though maybe not for long. The two may be able to share thoughts on respecting the history of the game.

Costas paid $4.7 million for the property, surprising he has so much left over after paying for hats. The 4,534 square foot home does appear to be fully furnished with oversized furniture and shows that providing commentary on the Olympics and during Sunday Night Football is a pretty good gig.
