Benson Henderson Defended His UFC Lightweight Title, Then Proposed to His Girlfriend on Live Television [Video]

Benson Henderson won a close split decision against Gilbert Melendez at UFC on FOX 7. Following the judges’ decision, Joe Rogan attempted to interviewed the defending champion, but before Rogan could get started, Henderson said, “I’ve gotta see about a girl.” Henderson then dropped to one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Maria Magana. She said yes as the crowd booed the decision – or the proposal. If you weren’t aware, Henderson’s nickname is “Smooth.”  [Video: FOX]
