Everett Golson, Notre Dame QB, Reportedly Has Left the School [UPDATE]
By Jason McIntyre
[UPDATE: The school has confirmed to the South Bend Tribune that Golson is no longer enrolled.]
"WNDU doesn’t have much yet, except to say: Notre Dame confirms to WNDU-TV that starting quarterback Everett Golson is no longer enrolled at the university. Rumors began percolating on social media sites like Twitter late Saturday afternoon. In a phone interview, university spokesman Dennis Brown told NewsCenter 16, “Federal and school privacy laws preclude us from issuing any further comment at this time.”"
Golson passed for 2,400 yards last year, and if he has left the school, this will certainly remove the Irish from any preseason Top 10 list they were thought to be on (we’ve ranked them 7th). They’d have to resort to Tommy Rees or Andrew Hendrix as the starting QB next year, neither of whom looked sharp in 2012. [via WNDU]
