Sergio Garcia Getting Heckled at the U.S. Open, Analyst Johnny Miller Says "He's sort of earned it" [Video]
Sergio Garcia had to deal with hecklers during the first round of the U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club on Thursday. This isn’t a surprise considering the beating Garcia has taken in the press following his ill-conceived fried chicken remark towards Tiger Woods last month. The NBC broadcast mentioned that hecklers had been following Garcia throughout his round and analyst Johnny Miller seemed to shrug and admit that Garcia had “sort of earned it.” After his round, Garcia spoke with NBC and said of his reception from the crowd: “It was very good for the most part and I was happy with it.”
Update: And here is a small taste of Sergio getting booed. Since this is golf, even the heckling is done with a certain amount of decorum.
