Dwight Howard Offered Free Chicken Fingers for Life by Restaurant Chain If He Signs With Mavs
By Mike Cardillo
The Lakers have already begun their PR campaign to bring him back, posting a mural of Howard outside the Staples Center. That has nothing on the plan by Dallas-area restaurant chain Raising Cane’s, which plans to offer the seven-footer free chicken fingers for life should he sign on the dotted line with the Mavericks.
From the MavsBlog:
"On Monday, Raising Cane’s will kick off a campaign inviting Mavericks fans to help persuade Howard to sign with Dallas. The company has leased six electronic billboards to help publicize its cooked-up offer to Howard. Raising Cane’s marketing manager Adam Reed says that if Howard signs with the Mavericks, “he will be welcome to come by any of our (20) local restaurants to enjoy seriously delicious chicken fingers at any time, on us, for the rest of his life.”"
As with most free agent signings in sports, expect this one to naturally come down to “seriously delicious chicken fingers.” Or not. [Via MavsBlog]
