Carlos Hyde Suspended By Ohio State Following Alleged Assault of a Woman [UPDATE]
By Ty Duffy
Carlos Hyde has been dismissed from the Ohio State football team, according to the Columbus Dispatch, after being implicated in an assault of a woman at a Columbus Bar early Saturday morning. Meyer previously booted linebacker Storm Klein when he was charged with domestic violence and assault. Klein was reinstated when charges against him were dropped.
UPDATE: The source for the initial Dispatch report was misinformed, or Ohio State changed their minds. Carlos Hyde has been suspended, not dismissed, from Ohio State, pending university and police investigations. Meyer released the following statement.
"“I have a clear set of core values in place that members of this football program are constantly reminded of and are expected to honor,” Meyer said. “There are also expectations with regard to behavior. I expect our players to conduct themselves responsibly and appropriately and they will be held accountable for their actions.”"
