Riley Cooper Has Been Fined By the Eagles for His Racial Slur
By Jason Lisk
Riley Cooper has been fined by the Philadelphia Eagles for the racial slur he was caught uttering at a Kenny Chesney concert earlier this summer. Cooper met with the media after practice Wednesday, and said that he met with Chip Kelly, Jeffrey Lurie, and Howie Roseman and all agreed to fine him.
Lurie had the following to say regarding the incident:
"“We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper’s words. This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident.”"
NFL statement on Riley Cooper: “The NFL stands for diversity and inclusion. Comments like this are wrong, offensive, and unacceptable.”
