The NFL And Knowing The Score All The Time: It's somehow been 16 years since Fox boldly outbid CBS for the NFC package. Why is this significant? Well, yes, a young Joe Buck swooping in and sweeping the nation's leg was certainly memorable and meaningful, but the introduction of
Fox's brilliant "scoring bug" was much more rewarding. Remember, prior to the 1994 season, the score and game clock were not displayed throughout the entire broadcast. Instead we were begrudgingly forced to sit around and wait for the score to occasionally flash on the screen, or for a team to actually score to know what was going on. Who knows how long it would've taken CBS to figure that one out. But before we all pay a disturbing tribute to Fox with a skin flute salute, let's not forget they're also responsible for creating Cletus,
a tireless, heartless robot who thrives on running in place.

Finally, we can pay the proper respect to Day 3 of the tournament as we are at halftime of the Dukies/West Virginia game. Interesting dichotemy with the villainous Bob Huggins opposing holier than thou Michael Krzyzewski. Joe Alexander leads all with 11 points on 5/12 shooting. Greg Paulus and Joe Scheyer each have 8 points for the Blue Devils and Duke has a 34-29 lead at halftime.Â
So how about that Friday?ÂÂ
