Virginia Tech Fans vs. Sean Glennon: Hokies fans need to get a grip. Glennon was a mediocre college QB. He's graduated and has been at a real job for six months. And fans are still harassing him. "Recently, Glennon learned he has been the subject of a number of defamatory chain e-mails. One of them, obtained by The Washington Post, includes vituperative comments aimed at smearing Glennon's reputation in the business world." Who has that kind of hate? The paper caught up with one of the idiots from the email, and he said he was sorry and it was just a joke. Others are calling the former QB's cell phone and hanging up. That's pathetic. She Has No Clue: Remember Susan Finkelstein? She's the nutjob who allegedly offered undercover police officers sex for World Series tickets. (She's quoted as saying, "I love sex. I’m a whore ... I’ll have sex with both of you. I’ll let you DP me.") Anyway, Finkelstein showed up at the "wingbowl" in Philly last week and inexplicably made the decision to wear a very slutty leopard-print catsuit. We found this impossible to believe - after all, she's married - but then we came upon this video. Unbelievable. [Daily News] (53)

For those who don’t think we’ve written enough nice things about Drew Brees after his flawless performance yesterday: Yes, he just became part of NOLA lore, and yes, winning a Super Bowl in our opinion vaults him into the ‘best QBs in the league‘ discussion, right there with Brady, Manning, and Roethlisberger. Peter King omitted Roethlisberger, but we’ve got him in there because no QB in the NFL has been better in the 4th quarter in the last five years than Big Ben.
Greivis Vasquez: The Terps' beat the Seminoles in Tallahassee Thursday. "The fans here were crazy, the craziest I’ve ever had since N.C. State. They were being racist, they were talking about deporting me and sending me back home, calling me Mexican when I’m Venezuelan. It was pretty bad, so they deserved to lose. That’s why they lost. I showed up like I showed up, like I’m the best player on the court and they have to take it like that.” [D1Scourse] (53)
Around the :20 mark, a fan screams a line from Austin Powers. The audience laughs. Surprised nobody pulled a stunt like this at media day. [via Hot Clicks]
Gilbert Arenas: "Professional athletes have a duty to act responsibly and to understand the influence we have on all those kids who look up to us. I failed to live up to that responsibility when I broke the law and set such a bad example." While we agree that the athletes must act more responsibly, and think this is a job well done by Arenas, it is more important for parents to let their kids know that athletes are not to be viewed as role models. Can we end the hero worship over athletes? [Wash Post] (20)
This guy makes Chazz Michael Michaels look a little less eccentric. Just look at those angry bears bursting from his shoulder blades. He’s the ugliest butterfly to ever live. And are those all tattooed signatures? Talk about devotion.
I just can’t decide if this guy is more, or less of an asshole than the guy who had the Patriots helmet tattooed onto his skull. Boy. That’s a toss up for PTI to spend 30 seconds on if I’ve ever seen one.
There isn’t enough video here to draw a firm conclusion, but the Indy cop who bolts out of his car is awful quick on the taser. No talking, no explanations, just the cuffs and taser. Is that what happens when you have to deal with Stephen Jackson and Jamaal Tinsley for so long? Perhaps they were just promoted from the Gary, Indiana police department. That’s two weeks in a row Jets’ fans were arrested at playoff games. More fodder for Curly in Boston. Guess how we’re going to close the day? Moreskin. Read the rest of this entry »

Did this Jets fan get arrested for cheering? Tough to tell. The tape does start and stop, so perhaps all the douchebaggery was deleted. If not, the San Diego police department might have some explaining to do. Watch it till the end for a tough-guy cop to scream at a patron about “taking this outside.”
