Mixed martial arts is a sport that has seen exponential growth over the last few years. As the sport has gained more exposure and interest, more people are trying it than ever before and that includes athletes. Thinking the sport is a glorified tough man competition is an attitude that doesn’t end with your local meat head who has a couple t-shirts adorned with sequined skulls and dead roses. These are two legends of the sport who were originally supposed to meet at UFC 17 in 1998. The bout was canceled when Couture went down with an injury. Saw Youth In Revolt last night and really liked it. Funny, different. I recommend it. I also watched Inglorious Basterds for the first time. Great movie, but a little heavy on the subtitles when you’re watching at 2am after a few beers.

Manny Pacquiao will fight Joshua Clottey in March. (NYT)

Chris Johnson believes Peyton Manning has something that belongs to him. (Twitter)

We still don’t know anything certain about Brock Lesnar, but his trainers say he will fight again. Hopefully this year. (MMAjunkie)
