Everyone Puzzled by Mysterious Hospitalization of 19 Oregon High School Football Players

From the Oregonian: “Dr. Peter Van Patten, who was on duty at the hospital when some of the players arrived Wednesday, said compartment syndrome often is associated with certain medications as well as recreational drug use.” A doctor who treated some of the kids is waiting for the blood tests to return, but for now, he’s calling it a unique combination of events. In the spirit of Mariotti’s arrest/LeBatard’s wisdom, today we’ll reserve judgment until all the facts are in.
