DeAnthony Thomas: The rumors had validity.  All sides point to five-star athlete and longtime USC commit DeAnthony Thomas switching to Oregon. Losing Thomas might not be the only problem for USC. If Trojan alums were calling Thomas to convince him to stay, that’s an NCAA violation.

Dabo! Clemson landed the top inside and outside linebackers in the country. Tony Steward was Rivals #13 overall prospect and “prettiest prospect at any position.”  He chose Clemson after most expected he’d sign with Florida State. The Tigers also got Stephone Anthony, Rivals #24 overall prospect. Clemson looks set to impress on paper and disappoint its fans for years to come. It will be interesting to see how they fit into Rich Rodriguez’ 3-3-5 in 2012.

Undecided: Cyrus Kouandjio is Rivals’ #1 overall offensive line prospect. He announced he chose Auburn over Alabama and New Mexico (really?), but he has yet to send in his letter of intent.  Now, it appears he won’t sign his letter of intent today, leaving the entire state of Alabama in a state of suspension.  The BCS title-winner, the previous BCS title-winner or a 1-11 team in a nothing conference.  The choice is a tough one.

Timmy Jernigan: Timmy wanted to be a role model close to home. He’s heading to Florida State. He’s Rivals’ #29 overall recruit and #2 DT. He probably cements the Seminoles’ #1 overall recruiting class.

Dream Team: Five-star running back Isaiah Crowell committed to Georgia, joining the in-state “Dream Team.”  Richt has brought in eleven four or five star recruits form Georgia alone.  The other big name is Ray Drew, a defensive end and Rivals’ #9 overall.
