Former Arizona State Player Blasts Dennis Erickson on Twitter

The tweet comes ahead of a television interview Taylor did, which has yet to air. Said interview should reveal whether this is a “Taylor” or an “Erickson” issue, what the specific grievances against Erickson are and, most importantly, whether other players share his thoughts.

Worth noting: Taylor’s father and uncle were both NFL players, so he should presumably know what he’s doing. Taylor’s brother Kendyl, a wideout recruit, recently committed to Washington.

As for Erickson, last year was supposed to be the breakout year. The team missed a bowl game, going 4-6 against FBS opponents. Though, it’s hard to fault their narrow losses at Wisconsin and against Oregon and Stanford at home. They also lost away at USC and Oregon State by a combined four points.

He returns mostly the same team. Presumably, they will improve with a year’s worth of experience and better fortune. With USC ineligible many expect them to win the Pac 12 south. If the Sun Devils don’t improve on their 10-17 conference record the past three seasons, Erickson probably will be fired.

ASU’s first six FBS games: Missouri, Illinois (A), USC, Oregon State, Utah (A), Oregon (A). Expect the first Mike Leach rumors to start floating around Oct. 3.
