Watch Brazil Miss Four Penalty Kicks in a Row and Get Knocked Out of Copa America by Paraguay

For only the third time since 1939, neither Brazil nor Argentina has reached the semifinals of Copa America. Saturday night Argentina was bounced in penalty kicks by Uruguay; Sunday afternoon, shortly after the Women’s World Cup was decided by penalty kicks, Brazil was shocked by Paraguay in a shootout. Brazil had won four of the last five Copa America titles.

(If that wasn’t enough, Venezuela shocked Chile last night to reach the semifinals for the first time. Watch Chile dominate the highlights at the bottom.)

How bad was Argentina, which is hosting the tournament? The team with the best player in the world played four games and registered one victory.

The unlikely semifinals are set:

Tuesday, 8:45 pm (Univision, I’m guessing) – Peru vs. Uruguay
Wednesday, 8:45 pm (again, Univision is the guess) – Paraguay vs. Venezuela.

The final is Sunday at 3 pm.

Not exactly the sexiest Final Four; one soccer writer joked that a Peru-Venezuela final would be akin to the Lions and Texans meeting in the next Super Bowl. What does all of this mean for LaRissa Riquelme and nudity? It might still happen.
