Fedor Emlianenko dropped his third straight fight tonight as Dan Henderson caught him with an upper cut during a scramble. Fedor said in the post-fight interview that the fight may have been stopped prematurely. Of course, he also said that the future of his career was God’s will. It certainly looked like Hendo made Fedor plant his face on the canvas.
Personally… The stoppage looked a bit quick, but Fedor probably suffered a flash knockout. Also, it looks like Hendo got in a couple illegal blows to the back of the head. That’s MMA.
From here, the speculation goes to whether or not we will see Fedor fight again. My immediate prediction? Fedor versus Randy Couture in a little less than a year. Just wait.
And props to Mauro Ranallo for the “MMA Mount Rushmore” refrence. I’m completely sure it was ironic. Right? [2nd vid via @CP]
