Fantasy Tip Of The Day From

When the Cowboys released Marion Barber, it was a vote of confidence for the shifty Felix Jones.

The question is, “Was Jones deserving of that vote?”

The oft-injured RB has disappointed as many times as he’s dazzled. There are serious questions about whether he can stay healthy and be productive as a featured RB.

At the risk of alienating the 18-24 demographic, I can’t shake this feeling that Jones might be a modern day Robert Smith (talented but brittle). Should the Jones experiment fail, the Cowboys will be left with Tashard Choice and rookie DeMarco Murray.

The Dallas brass has shown little faith in Choice in previous years, which makes Murray a sneaky late round draft pick. Like Jones, Murray is a home run threat every time he touches the ball. He scored an incredible 63 touchdowns while at Oklahoma and is a gifted receiver.

A preseason hamstring injury has set Murray back a couple weeks but it won’t take him long to catch up.
