Over the past few weeks, I’ve slowly, but surely been making my way through Revelations. Surprisingly, the holiday weekend didn’t offer as much time to play the game as I had hoped. I did however get an XBox 360 on Black Friday so I’ll be able to continue playing my soon-to-be former roommate leaves with the XBox.

Everything I had been told about the series has held true. The game has lived up to its reputation as an incredible time waster that features hundreds of small quests, character developments, various forms (and motives) for murder, the ability to run around incredibly detailed (and historic) cities doing parkour.

Revelations seems to have been a success on paper as well. Pre-orders of Revelations alone were significantly higher than that of Brotherhood. In the UK it was the best-selling debut of any game in the franchise. The game itself has received solid review with the game being considered one of the most ambitious story lines a video game has ever seen. A whole new circle of gamers should be picking up the game when it comes out on PC today.

For now, gamers will have to settle with the current best, new, fun edition in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. It’s a great way to kill time (and templars) until the next edition hits shelves next year.
