The two had an exchange of words and Burke rented out a barn for a fist fight. Somehow, Gary Bettman caught wind of the possible fight and stepped in. It was Brian Burke’s son, Brendan, who told his father that he needed to end the beef. Unfortunately, Brendan died in a car accident before Burke made amends.
