Will Ferrell Made Old Milwaukee Ads (For Free!)

I realize some people may have cooled on Will Ferrell at this point, but I have to say that this move was undeniably awesome. Ferrell went to Pabst Brewing Company and offered to shoot ads for Old Milwaukee beer, free of charge. Pabst’s chief marketing officer says that Ferrell approached them because “he thought it would be fun.”

The great thing is that these are basically Funny or Die videos that Ferrell wanted to shoot and he though, “Hey, it might be awesome to do this as a legitimate ad.” Old Milwaukee is infamously inexpensive. If Will Ferrell is still drinking Old Milwaukee like your grandfather, then that is kind of awesome. The question is, when will Pabst take this campaign nationwide? How many decades has it been since Old Milwaukee had a full-fledged ad campaign? All of the decades?
