"Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Cameron Merrill told the court that witnesses claim that an apparently intoxicated Trivino pushed his way into the room of a female student at 10 Buick St. and started kissing her and fondling her against her will."

Trivino is facing six charges: three for indecent assault and battery, two for “breaking and entering during the nighttime” and one for “assault with attempt to rape.”

The 21-year-old center was a huge star in Canadian junior hockey, appearing for Canada in the U-18 World Championships and being named the Ontario Hockey Association’s top prospect in 2008. The New York Islanders had drafted Trivino 36th overall in 2008. Hampered by injuries and disciplinary problems his first three years, he had finally begun to live up to his promise, with 13 goals and four assists in his first 15 games. He had scored twice in the Terriers’ 5-1 win against Maine on Saturday.
