Matt Barkley is Probably Going to Announce He's Staying at USC

That’s obviously fantastic news for Lane Kiffin (less so for Jim Mora). The young Trojans should open as one of the top three teams in the country next year (other contenders: LSU and Oregon).

The big loser here? The Cleveland Browns. Currently, the Browns are slated to pick 4th in the draft, and with no franchise QB on the roster (sorry, Colt McCoy), they’ll be left with grabbing Trent Richardson (to replace Peyton Hillis) or perhaps Heisman winner Robert Griffin III. Not terrible choices, but I think Barkley will be a better pro than either of them.

Let’s not forget this: USC QBs have kind of underwhelmed in the NFL. Mark Sanchez has been to two AFC title games, but QBs like Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart have been disappointments.
