Michelle Obama's Got Game

I saw this commercial yesterday during Timberwolves-Wizards game. It is over a year old, but I had never seen or heard of this ad campaign that features Michelle Obama and what I assume are two tween actors from the Disney Channel. I was blown away by how bad it was – even by PSA standards.

First of all, they’re playing basketball on a court the size of my living room. The kid claims he has knocked down 30 consecutive free throws despite being no more than 6 feet from the hoop at any point in time. The girl asks Michelle Obama if she is a “free throw expert.” Michelle Obama then takes on these two young people in a game of 2-0n-1. She immediately scores. It makes me wonder if the courtship of President and First Lady was similar to the plot of Love & Basketball.
