Dwyane Wade Broke Kobe Bryant's Nose, Then Wasn't Really Apologetic About it

First, there was this hard foul by Wade on a layup attempt by Kobe during the All-Star game. As noted by the announcing crew, Wade never went over to apologize to Kobe, which is customary in any game, but especially the All-Star game, when everyone’s supposed to having fun. Wade (24 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) actually drew blood and broke Kobe’s nose.

Afterward, Wade was asked about Kobe breaking Michael Jordan’s NBA all-time All-Star scoring record, and said, “with Kevin Durant in the league, I don’t know how long that’s going to last.” When asked specifically about the foul on Kobe, Wade said, “Obviously I didn’t try to draw no blood … but I took a foul. Kobe had fouled me twice in a row right before that.”

Besides the Wade/Kobe kerfuffle, there was … LeBron. He was magnificent (36 points, seven rebounds, seven assists) in rallying the East in the 4th quarter, but down three in the final seconds, with Kobe defending him and screaming “Shoot the fucking ball” while LeBron dribbled 35 feet from the hoop, the best player in the NBA … attempted a pass. It was intercepted by Blake Griffin. Yup, it felt like the Finals all over again.

Fortunately for LeBron, it was just the All-Star game.
