Chris Bosh MRI: Strained Abdominal Muscle, Out "Indefinitely"

Chris Bosh strained an ab muscle on this dunk, and will be out “indefinitely” the Heat just announced. It’s a brutal blow for the Heat, who were clearly beaten inside in game one by David West and Roy Hibbert. Should the Heat advance, they’ll likely face the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. Kevin Garnett against Joel Anthony/Udonis Haslem/Ronny Turiaf is kind of a mismatch.

For a point of reference as to what “indefinitely” might mean here … Manu Ginobili of the Spurs missed 15 games with a “strained abdomen” earlier this season. Given the current schedule for the rest of the Miami/Indiana series, if Bosh is out for two weeks, and the Pacers’ series goes six games, he’d probably return for game two or three of the Eastern Conference Finals (assuming Boston/Philly doesn’t go seven).
