Wes Welker on Tom Brady: "He’s such a good looking guy”

Well, on Monday afternoon, teammate Wes Welker came forward to set the record straight on Tommy’s toughness, and looks, thanks in part to a bloodied, possibly broken nose the three-time Super Bowl champion suffered Sunday afternoon against Tennessee.

“He’s such a good-looking guy,” said Welker. “Obviously, he gets banged up, and he’s probably the toughest metrosexual I’ve ever come across.”

We can now officially count Wes Welker among Brady’s lengthy list of drooling admirers — just don’t forget to include our very own Stephen Douglas. The pint-sized wide receiver continued on, praising the dreamiest quarterback he’s ever known:

“Any time you see your leader out there, going out there and taking hits like that and everything else. You ask him if it’s broken. He doesn’t know, and he doesn’t care. He loves football, and he loves playing. He does a great job.”

Welker’s obviously right. Only a raging, delusional moron would question Brady’s competitiveness or ability on the field.

It’s easy for us to make assumptions during the offseason and assume Tommy might, might, be getting “too caught up” or losing focus, but that’s usually washed away by Week 1, or even in the preseason when he’s screaming at inept offensive lineman.

Following Sunday’s game, when asked about his nose, Brady said his face was in need of some scars anyway. See, even Tom Brady is an admirer of Tom Brady’s looks.
