The hell? Josey Wales? Clint Eastwood? Yes, Jon Gruden referenced them during what was perhaps the clunkiest Monday Night Football opening ever. Mike Tirico’s reaction says it all. (It actually says: “Fuck man, we’re going to end up all over the web with this shit.”) And this is only part of the intro.
“Tony Romo is the most dazzling, playmaking quarterback in football?” Did Ben Roethlisberger, Michael Vick, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton and Drew Brees quit the sport today?
“Make my day, Tirico! Go ahead, make my day!”
