Wes Welker Admits He's One of the "Bitches" Tom Brady Was Referring to During the Bills Game

Wes Welker has revealed the answer to the question America has been pondering for, gosh, days already: Just who are the “bitches” Tom Brady was addressing Sunday?

Buffalo fans? Good guess. But in reality, Brady was talking to Welker and Deion Branch, who were suggesting the touchdown Brady had just scored wouldn’t stand up to official review. The two Patriots receivers had been “jawing” with their quarterback, Welker said, when television cameras caught the normally unflappable Brady flapping his lips. Anyone not totally lips-illiterate was left wondering only whether Brady said “fuck you bitches” or “fuck you, bitches.” Speculating over comma placement may be a bit “Eats, Shoots & Leaves,” but you gotta wonder whether Brady was emphasizing the “fuck” or the “bitches.” He seems to spit “bitches” with greater venom, suggesting it was the misogynistic cut-down, rather than the f-bomb, that Brady felt would carry the greater pejorative heft.

"“I think it was kind of directed at, towards me and Deion [Branch] a little bit,” Welker said today on WEEI’s Mut and Merloni show. “We were giving him a hard time that his knee was down and we didn’t know what he was doing on the bench over there. He better get his butt up and get back out on the field because his knee was down and so he’s like, ‘what are you talking about, I was in.’ So I think they caught him at a perfect moment where we were just kind of just jawing back and forth and things like that.”"

Welker may have a lousy sideline sense of humor, but at least he knows when to man up and admit that he was, at least for a moment, Tom Brady’s bitch.
