Ballin': Joe Johnson Crossover Breaks Paul Pierce's Ankles

Brooklyn 95, Boston 83: Rajon Rondo’s fisticuffs were fun, but Joe Johnson’s ankle-breaking crossover on old man Paul Pierce was better. Said Deron Williams about the rumble: “Rondo went up and grabbed him at his neck. He’s got scratches on his neck, on his back. What is he supposed to do?” Williams said. “(Retreating back with your hands up) sounds good. If guys haven’t been in a fight that’s what they would do. They would get whooped too.” How about that Brooklyn bench? Reggie Evans: 10 rebounds, Jerry Stackhouse 17 points, and Andray Blatche 17 points, 13 rebounds.
LA Clippers 101, Minnesota 95: We’re getting closer to the return of Ricky Rubio. That’s when the Timberwolves will be worth the price of admission. Also, a Lamar Odom sighting!
Atlanta 94, Charlotte 91: At least the Bobcats didn’t come out and get smoked like earlier in the week. Byron Mullens, the former Ohio State stiff, is having a very nice season in Charlotte (13.1 ppg, 8.4 rpg). The Hawks are a surprising 9-4. They had nearly as many assists (28) as Charlotte had baskets (30).
Utah 96, New Orleans 84: The Hornets have lost five of their last six without No. 1 pick Anthony Davis. Marvin Williams of the Jazz left the game with a concussion. That’s the second Williams they’ve lost this week (Mo, foot).
Oklahoma City 120, Houston 98: The Thunder welcomed James Harden back to OKC with some ferocious blocks. Harden shot 3-for-16. Kevin Durant led everyone with 37 points on just 22 shots.
Washington 84, Portland 82: Wizards win! Wizards win! Wizards win! 1-12!
