This has upset some fans according to the Winnipeg Free Press:

Twitter has exploded with Jets fans chastising Kane for the timing of the tweet.

The lockout has resulted in layoffs for employees around the NHL and eliminated work for game day staff in all 30 NHL cities.

Kane is a kid with lots of money (he signed a 6-year, $31.5 million contract in September) and even more free time on his hands because of the NHL lockout. Fans probably shouldn’t be mad at him for taking dumb college kid pictures in Vegas, but they have to be mad at someone.
