Oscar Pistorius Granted Bail in Trial For Murder of Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp (Update: Bail Set at 1 Million Rand)

Oscar Pistorius was released on bail this morning in South Africa. Pistorius is charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. On the morning of Valentine’s Day, Pistorius says he mistook her for a burglar. While there were previous allegations of domestic violence, the magistrate decided that Pistorius was not a flight risk.

Update: Bail was set at 1,000,000 rand ($112,771). He must also surrender his guns.
