MLB Network reporter Heidi Watney dutifully attempted to interview Figueroa immediately after the game, and it didn’t go so well.

She awkwardly directed her Figueroa-related questions to Puerto Rican slugger Andy Gonzalez, whose two-run single in the sixth inning proved to be the game-winning hit.

It was eventually brought to Watney’s attention that she was talking to the wrong guy, but not before it was way too late.

Watney’s confusion is understandable. Figueroa is a journeyman pitcher with a 20-35 major league record who hasn’t pitched a big-league game since May 2011. He’s not exactly a household name.

Then again, Gonzalez is two inches taller and 40 pounds heavier than Figueroa. And he has a completely different face.

Her explanation?

She was just doing what she was told.
