Kentucky went from National Champions to out in the first round of the NIT. The underachieving Wildcats, who couldn’t host an NIT game because the NCAA Tournament is using Rupp Arena, lost to Robert Morris 59-57 in one of those strange results that people will be talking about for a few years.

Kentucky fell behind 9-0 and the game had the feel of the Alabama-Utah college football BCS tilt from 2009. Only one team wanted to be on the field that night, and in this game, Kentucky looked listless and uninterested.

In a scary moment, Lucky Jones of Robert Morris attempted to decapitate Kentucky guard Archie Goodwin on a fast break. Jones was ejected.
