Tyrone Garland Hits the Game Winner, La Salle Eliminates Ole Miss

La Salle and Ole Miss were playing for the right to face Wichita State in the Sweet 16. In a tie game at 74-74, a loose ball was called out of bounds and given to Ole Miss when it appeared La Salle had it inbounds. Then, Marshall Henderson missed a shot from the baseline that hit the backboard, and wanted a foul call on the rebound as the shot clock expired. He did not get it.
That set up a final possession for La Salle with no shot clock, and the guard play and being able to spread the floor was key again. Tyrone Garland got the ball past Buckner of Ole Miss and in for the winner.
